Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced a major upgrade to Mumbai's suburban railway, saying local trains will soon get fully AC coaches with automatic doors while keeping second-class fares unchanged. Speaking at the IIMUN Youth Connect, the CM mentioned how Mumbai's local trains, which carry 90 lakh commuters daily, continue to face overcrowding and safety issues across the city.
