The Maharashtra government has formed a high-level committee led by MMRDA chief Sanjay Mukherjee to integrate all metro agencies in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region under a Unified Metro Rail Authority. The initiative aims to streamline operations, improve coordination, and enhance commuter convenience through unified ticketing and planning platforms like the Mumbai One App.
