Mumbai's MMRDA has proposed an ambitious 70 km underground tunnel network to decongest the city's surface roads. Planned in three phases, it will connect key hubs like the Coastal Road, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), and the airport, eventually forming a north-south corridor. The tunnels aim to ease traffic bottlenecks and integrate with major projects like Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train.
