Mumbai Cricket Association, which hosted the final of Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, has proposed to build a Residential Women's Cricket Academy, which will act as a Centre of Excellence for Women's Cricket in India. MCA president Ajinkya Naik has written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, seeking suitable land within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) for its construction.
