Shruti Haasan shared an anecdote about her father Kamal Haasan and actress Aparna Sen. She recalled, "He learnt Bengali because at that time, he was in love with Aparna Sen and to impress her...He didn't learn for films." She added, he named Rani Mukerji's character, his Bengali love interest in 'Hey Ram', after Aparna Sen.
