North Korea's state-owned travel company has reportedly launched an advertisement featuring Russian men and women enjoying on Majeon beach which has sparked an online debate. "Aren't bikinis banned in [North Korea]?," a Reddit user asked, while another said, "If I go here, I would disappear 1000%." The country has not been fully open to international tourists since 2020.
