Nagaland on Monday reported its first COVID-19 case of the year, said Mereninla Senlem, Director and HoD of the Health & Family Welfare Department. The patient, a Dimapur resident, is mildly symptomatic and is currently in home isolation. Senlem said symptoms are generally mild and don’t require hospitalisation. Meanwhile, India has reported over 7,000 active COVID-19 cases nationwide.
