The Centre has approved the 'NaMo Semiconductor Lab' at IIT Bhubaneswar to train youth in chip manufacturing and packaging. Funded with ₹4.95 crore under the MPLAD scheme, the lab aims to boost India's semiconductor talent, strengthen 'Make in India' and 'Design in India' missions, and support R&D for the growing chip ecosystem.
