Karnataka Milk Federation raised the price of Nandini ghee by ₹90 per litre to ₹700 per litre, effective today, up from ₹610. Janata Dal (Secular) criticised Karnataka government and CM Siddaramaiah over the hike. "'Even if it means taking a loan, eat ghee'- that's a proverb. By striking at the customers' stomachs, Congress-led Karnataka government is eating ghee," JDS added.
