In order to strengthen seafood safety and compliance with global standards, there is an urgent need to develop a National Traceability Framework for Fisheries Value Chains, Dr. George Ninan, Director of the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) said recently. Traceability is vital for enhancing country's global seafood competitiveness and boosting consumer confidence.
