A nationwide revision of electoral rolls is expected to begin by October, as per reports. The preparations for the exercise were discussed during meeting of Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) from all states and Union Territories. The reports stated that announcement of the exercise could come even before Bihar elections conclude. Notably, revision of electoral rolls was recently concluded in Bihar.
