Starting July 1, 2025, Indian Railways will hike AC fares by 2 paise per km. A 3AC ticket from New Delhi to Mumbai (1,334 km) will now cost approximately ₹1,131.68, up from ₹1,105. The hike excludes suburban trains and monthly passes, while Aadhaar authentication becomes mandatory for Tatkal bookings.
