Nearly 30% of women in India aged 15 to 49 have experienced intimate partner violence at some point in their lives, a new global report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) stated. About 4% of Indian women aged 15 and above have experienced non-partner sexual violence. The report added that progress in reducing violence against women remains slow worldwide.
