BJP MP Anurag Thakur demanded a free and fair probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge in the stampede which happened at TVK chief Vijay's rally in Karur. "When I see families who've lost loved ones—the question arises: who is accountable, organisers or the state government," he asked. Of the 41 victims, 18 were women, 13 men and 10 children.
