NEHU has suspended Prof Nirmalendu Saha after his arrest by the CBI for allegedly accepting a ₹3.43 lakh bribe. He was caught red-handed in Guwahati during a trap laid by CBI. The bribe was linked to awarding supply orders for lab equipment. As per rules, he was suspended after 48 hours in custody.
