Nepal government has banned several major social media platforms as they failed to register with its communications ministry within the deadline, from Thursday night. Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), Alphabet (YouTube), X, Reddit, and LinkedIn didn't submit an application even when deadline expired, PTI reported. As per the ministry, TikTok has been listed and Telegram is in approval process.
