Nepal dissolved its parliament on Friday as ex-Chief Justice Sushila Karki was sworn in as interim Prime Minister, following deadly protests that forced KP Sharma Oli’s resignation and the burning of parliament. President Ram Chandra Paudel set elections for March 2026, after talks led by Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel. Karki has pledged to steer Nepal through the transition.
