Satellite pictures shared by the NASA Earth Observatory have shown a new landmass which appeared in the southwest Pacific Ocean, hours after an underwater volcano started erupting. The new Tonga 'baby' island's area was estimated to be 4,000 square meters on September 14. It had grown by six times to cover 24,000 square meters by September 20.
