New FBI Director Indian-American Kash Patel plans to relocate 1,000 headquarters staff to field offices around the US and move 500 more to a bureau facility in Huntsville, Alabama, the Associated Press reported. The plans were communicated on Friday, the day Patel was sworn in, it added. The 44-year-old was confirmed by the Senate on Thursday by a 51-49 margin.
