BJP MP and member of the Select Committee on the Income Tax Bill, 2025, Sanjay Seth, remarked that the bill aims to upgrade the Income Tax Act, 1961, and simplify the process of filing Income Tax Return for citizens. With this, common citizens wouldn't have to hire CAs as they would be able to fill the forms themselves, he added.
