New Zealand's youngest MP Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke tore a copy of a bill in the Parliament before performing the traditional Māori dance 'haka'. The bill seeks to reinterpret the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, which dictates how British Crown and Māori chiefs agreed to govern New Zealand. Speaker Gerry Brownlee briefly suspended the Parliament after Maipi-Clarke was joined by other MPs.
