A 22-year-old Palestinian woman, who recently got married to a US citizen, has revealed the condition of US migrant detention centres. "I was handcuffed for 16 hours without any water or food...I was moved around like cattle," she said. "The restrooms are very, very, very unhygienic. The beds have rust everywhere...And cockroaches, grasshoppers, spiders...are all over the facility," she added.
