A 29-year-old newly married woman from Pune's Yerawada has filed a complaint alleging severe domestic violence by her husband, who she later discovered is gay. She told police he repeatedly demanded sexual favours and burnt her with cigarette butts when she refused. The abuse continued for months before she approached the police on Monday.
