Malik Peiris, who discovered coronavirus was responsible for 2003 SARS outbreak, warned "another pandemic is inevitable" and world needs to be "better prepared". He said, "COVID-19 clearly showed pandemics are destructive not only for health but also economy." He emphasised importance of 'one-health approach' and how there must be sustainable balance in health of people, animals and ecosystems.
