NHAI has said that it has drastically reduced the cost of toll collection in public-funded toll plazas by ₹2,062 crore in FY25. The cost of toll collection has come down from ₹4,736 crore in FY24 to ₹2,674 crore in FY25. The savings resulted primarily from various initiatives like close monitoring of current contracts, timely bidding, etc.
