The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognisance of the killing of Army jawan Jignesh Chaudhary, who was stabbed to death by a train attendant after a dispute over a blanket. The NHRC has issued notices to the Railway Board and RPF, demanding details on the accused’s hiring, training, and police verification.
