Fugitive businessman Nirav Modi, accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank of ₹6,498 crore, has filed a fresh plea in a UK court, seeking the reopening of proceedings against his extradition to India. Nirav claimed he could face torture and be investigated by multiple agencies if extradited. He has been lodged at Wandsworth Prison in London since March 2019.
