NIT Rourkela researchers have created a photocatalyst system that cleans industrial wastewater using sunlight. The system combines iron-doped nano-titania (Fe-nTiO2) with graphene oxide and immobilises the compound on specially designed spherical concrete beads. "When tested on...wastewater with very high chemical oxygen demand, system achieved over 82% reduction under sunlight," researcher said.
