NIT Rourkela has developed a low-cost, indigenous force plate to analyze gait and aid in heel pain treatment. Heel pain, caused by plantar fascia overload or heel pad degeneration, affects many adults. The device measures ground reaction forces, helping diagnose abnormal gait patterns and neuromuscular disorders, offering an affordable alternative to expensive foreign systems.
