Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that commuters can save ₹7,000 through the ₹3,000 FASTag annual pass. He explained that the pass covers 200 toll crossings, bringing the average cost per toll to just ₹15. Gadkari added that if a traveller typically pays ₹50 per toll, they'd spend ₹10,000 for 200 trips, saving ₹7,000 with the pass.
