Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will be conferred with the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak National Award on August 1 in Pune. Instituted in 1983 by the Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust, the award honours individuals for exceptional contributions to nation-building. Gadkari will be the 43rd recipient. The award includes a cash prize of ₹1 lakh and a citation.
