Bihar CM and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar named former minister Santosh Kumar Nirala as the party's candidate from Rajpur, a Scheduled Caste-reserved seat, for the assembly polls. The announcement comes even as the seat-sharing formula within the NDA is yet to be finalised, and after JD(U) stated it would want to contest "at least one more seat" than the BJP.
