TRAI has decided not to interfere in Airtel and Jio's removal of the ₹249 daily data plans, stating that the telcos followed due process. While Airtel has permanently discontinued the plan, Jio's ₹209 option remains available under 'value'. Consumers, however, remain unhappy as operators seek to raise average revenue per user (ARPU). TRAI sees no grounds for action at this stage.
