Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) Chairman Vikas Kaushal said there is no government directive on importing Russian crude, leaving purchase decisions to market factors. The company has adjusted its sourcing strategy, reducing reliance on Russian barrels due to pricing shifts and US sanctions. Kaushal added that only 13.2% of its April–June quarter's crude intake came from Russia.
