After Independence Day, India once again refrained from exchanging Diwali sweets with Pakistan Rangers this year, following a Union Home Ministry directive to the BSF. Accordingly, no exchanges occurred at Rajasthan's border posts in Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, or Barmer. The long-standing tradition was suspended after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.
