US Vice President JD Vance stated there are "no immediate plans" to deploy the National Guard to the Democrat-run city of Chicago, countering President Donald Trump's recent remarks about sending troops there to fight crime. Trump has also deployed the National Guard to Washington DC. Recently, a federal judge blocked Trump's administration from deploying the National Guard in California.
