After SAD leader Bikram Majithia was held in a disproportionate assets case, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Thursday said, "No matter how politically strong...one may be...I won't have mercy in the matter of drugs." He added, "I'm accountable to Punjabis...and I'm indebted to them." CM Mann further said that 80-90% of those jailed in drug cases "couldn't secure bail".
