Bombay High Court refused to grant interim relief to those petitioners challenging the closure of kabootar khanas (pigeon feeding zones) in Maharashtra's Mumbai. The court said public health is more important than feeding pigeons, noting the health risks from droppings, especially for children and the elderly. However, it ordered that old heritage kabootar khanas must not be demolished for now.
