Talking about India's Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said, "So far as the BCCI's view is concerned, we have to follow whatever the central government formalises." Referring to the recent policy, Saikia added, "There is no restriction imposed by the central government...So Team India have to play all the matches in any multinational tournament."
