Nobel laureates Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee are set to leave MIT next year to join the University of Zurich (UZH) in Switzerland. This comes as MIT became the first major US university to reject new federal funding conditions introduced by Trump administration. Many scientists in US are concerned about funding reductions and increasing restrictions on academic freedom, reports said.
