North Korea will send divorced couples to a labour training camp for one to six months to stabilise social order, according to a Radio Free Asia report. Divorce cases have increased in country since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 due to poor economic conditions. Divorce is considered an anti-socialist act and is generally frowned upon in North Korea.
