DK Sunil, HAL Chairman and Managing Director, said the company was not responsible for the recent crashes involving Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, an indigenous chopper designed by HAL. He said the crashes were related to maintenance or operation, and had nothing to do with manufacturing or design. At least 338 Dhruv helicopters are in service with the Indian Army.
