Congress MP Digvijaya Singh condemned the arrest of environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk saying, that the National Security Act (NSA) had been imposed on a person following the Gandhian philosophy. "Wangchuk has given an identity to Ladakh, Singh said. "Modi would appreciate him until 2019...government promised statehood [to Ladakh]...after elections, but they did not keep their promise," Singh added.
