The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has crossed 120 million unique registered investors, with one in four being women. Investor participation is rising due to digital access, financial literacy, and strong market performance. Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat lead in investor numbers. Youth participation is also growing, with the median investor age now 33 years.
