The Delhi High Court termed as "obnoxious" the argument of accused that quashing rape proceedings against him will be in the interest of victim, who otherwise will have to face "stigma". The court stated that stigma has to be on perpetrator of the wrong and not on the victim. The court imposed ₹10,000 costs on the man.
