West Bengal government alleged nearly 100 migrant workers from the state have been detained and sent to detention centres in Odisha on suspicion of being Bangladeshis. TMC MP Samirul Islam said officials have reached out to their counterparts in Odisha regarding the issue. Meanwhile, a senior Odisha government official said verifications are being done as part of a nationwide exercise.
