A 62-year-old retired clerk in Sundargarh was allegedly murdered by his wife, her paramour, and their associate. Police said the victim, Dhruba Kerketta, was drugged with sleeping pills and strangled in his sleep. The accused trio confessed during interrogation and has been remanded to judicial custody. The murder was reportedly motivated by an illicit relationship.
