Amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed that he had offered joint air defence projects to Iran but it showed little interest. Putin also offered to mediate the conflict between the two countries, suggesting Moscow could help negotiate a settlement. Several Russian citizens have been evacuated from Iran and activity at its Tehran consulate has been halted.
