Oil prices surged 13% after Israel attacked military and nuclear sites in Iran, raising fears of a broader regional conflict. Brent crude oil prices hit a high of $78 a barrel, its biggest intraday gain since March 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine, Bloomberg reported. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices also soared similarly, reaching $77 a barrel.
