BJP MP and member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on 'One Nation, One Election', Anurag Thakur, said the bill will accelerate India's development and strengthen democracy. He said a lot of time and money is wasted on conducting separate Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections, which hinders the country's development, adding, it also creates problems for people in hilly regions.
